My journey didn’t start in a boardroom, it started on the basketball court.
After high school, I had no scholarship offers. So I took two years off from school and dedicated myself to the grind, sharpening my skills and transforming my body to compete at the next level. That discipline paid off. I earned a scholarship to the State College of Florida, then secured a full ride to play Division I basketball at Idaho State University. While competing at the highest collegiate level, I studied business marketing, not knowing then just how pivotal that foundation would become.
After college, I hit the road, literally, entering the trucking industry as a driver. Within a year, I was running my own rig as an owner operator. That venture fueled my next move: opening Common Grind, a café I owned from 2013 to 2018. That’s where I fell in love with marketing. I wasn’t just serving coffee, I was creating content, launching ad campaigns, and turning a small shop into a community brand. I saw firsthand how the right message, delivered the right way, could change everything.
From there, I built a logistics company, but like many, it took a hit during the pandemic. That pivot became a blessing in disguise. In 2021, I launched America First Marketing, and for the first time, I felt fully in alignment with my purpose.
What started as a skill became a calling. I’m not just in this industry, I am this industry. I live and breathe digital marketing because I know what it can do. It’s not just about likes or leads, it’s about creating real momentum for real people. It’s about helping business owners grow in ways they never thought possible. Going above and beyond isn’t a catchphrase for me, it’s my standard.
If you’re ready to level up, you won’t find someone more committed to your growth.
